Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I am documenting my adventures as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Malaysia. Hope you enjoy my blog and photos!

Please support the SMK Rusila's Multicultural Book project

PLEASE SUPPORT MY STUDENTS

The students at SMK Rusila, Form 4 & 5 (ages 14-16), have collaborated with two secondary schools in the United States of America, to create a Malaysian- American poetry and recipe book. The book is scheduled to be printed in early September, contingent upon the completion of the book. The book will feature  students’ original poetry and favorite traditional recipes from both countries. The project will allow SMK Rusila students to share the Malaysian culture with Americans, while simultaneously, learning more about the American culture.

The project has been partially funded by the U.S. Embassy in Malaysia. However, we are still short, needing RM 1000 for printing/publishing costs. We would like to know if you know any publishers and printers that would be able to help us with our project for a lower cost. Or maybe, make a donation to help our cause. Once the books are printed, we plan to sell the books on campus at our school's Co-Op (store). We will also consider selling the books online at Amazon, so that everyone will have access to purchase a copy. here is the link to the SMK Rusila gofundme page: https://www.gofundme.com/smkrusila
